He is a young enterprising entrepreneur who has successfully established a flourishing chain of businesses in a very short time. He has succeeded in all his business ventures due to his unwavering belief, sharp focus and persistence. He is now stepping into the field of education along with his brothers Nasim and Salim. All the three brothers believe that "the best way to predict the future is to create it". Together they have joined hands to set up the Prayas Foundation. Their own experiences have motivated them to set up a school that would provide a platform for nurturing each learner a unique potential while facilitating all round development.
All the founder partners of Prayas Foundation aspire to provide the best and the latest facilities of education through their institution and further aim to establish a K12 school in 2015-16.
Shloka – A Birla School is committed to developing students of high academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, and strong moral character. As a result, our school matriculates respectful, responsible, and compassionate young adults, who are well prepared to tackle the challenges that lay ahead.
The way that children learn is changing rapidly and is quite different from the education of even 10 years ago. Blackboards and chalk have been replaced with whiteboards and interactive technologies and we have effortlessly created our diverse learning style around it.
Children need to develop character, including behaviours, attitudes and values, to face an increasingly challenging world. For this reason our school programs which develop traits such as adaptability, persistence, resilience, integrity, justice, empathy and ethics are increasingly important.
Sports too is an essential tool to shape young minds and body. It helps children to develop social values, team building, positive attitude leadership qualities etc. As well as sound mind and healthy body. So our school takes pride in introducing compulsory sports education everyday before we commence our academic classes. These training is conducted by professionals in their respective sports.
Teaching children how to learn, how to connect their learning in one discipline to another, developing curiosity and providing time for students to follow their own passions and interests is our focus area in the school learning process and community.
At Shloka – A Birla School, we continually evaluate what we do and how we do it, to ensure that we are providing the best possible educational opportunities for all children. This is our goal and commitment.
I am proud to lead this school. Thank you.
I believe my role as an educator is to guide and nurture the next generation to establish skills to achieve health, respect, prosperity and fulfilment.
I am passionate about students being empowered to succeed. As Principal, I use all tools available to inspire staff, students and community to work together to promote student achievement and well-being.
The talents, skills, and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he / she is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills.
I believe that having quality, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a school's success. To borrow John Hattie's words; "teachers should build classroom climates where errors are welcome, student engagement is the norm, questioning is high and students gain reputations as effective learners."
While academic excellence is our major thrust, the school is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the children grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life.
The parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of children. Their consistent support empowers us to do more and more. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us.
I enjoy celebrating successes and acknowledge hard work of staff, students and community and believe this is one of the contributors fundamental to a happy school environment. All staff, students and community should feel valued and appreciated at school.
