The Children of Birla Open Minds Preschool where taken for a virtual field trip - City Darshan where every child had a real world experience, while they visited the famous monuments and temples around the city. The children were super excited. After the trip, they expressed their thoughts on paper in the form of 'Art - Memory Drawing' and spoke with confidence about the places they had seen in our City Darshan.

The spirit of 'Unity in Diversity' was well displayed by the children as they celebrated 'Independence Day' in the Virtual Classroom of Birla Open Minds Preschool, Jubilee Hills. The children of Nursery came dressed in the colours of the flag and created the Indian Flag with much involvement. Children of K1 level represented different States in India and dressed up in their traditional costumes and spoke with confidence. With pride and patriotism, the children of K2 Level came dressed as Freedom Fighters as part of 'Independence Day Celebrations'. We appreciate the parents efforts for dressing up their children. It inculcated the feelings of patriotism and helped them to learn about the our Freedom Fighters and traditional costumes of our country.

It's not easy to teach on a virtual platform, especially to Preschoolers, but kudos to the teachers of Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills.
They have changed their living rooms to classrooms, household items to teaching aids and mastered digital App to ensure that learning is a continuous process for their children. They find interesting ways to engage them constructively - to see the happy smiling faces of our dear children!

Farmers Market - Student Led Conference (K1 & K2 Levels)

'The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences' - Loris Malaguzzi. At Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills, real-life connections are used in the classroom to make the learning experience fun, engaging, and meaningful to optimize engagement and learning. Our Ongoing Themes came to an end with a wonderful concept of 'Farmer's Market' through Student Led Conference presented by our K1 and K2 children and teachers to the parents of K1 and K2 Levels.
Through 'Student Led Conference', we endeavour to bring forward the skills developed by our students. It is a great opportunity for parents to gain an insight into the student's progressive learning experience.Children explained various concepts - Process of Farming, Products obtained from Farm - milk, fruits, vegetables, wheat, rice. The Little Chefs of the school prepared aloo chana chaat, fruit kebab and corn salad, there by bringing out the concept of 'Farm to Table' very well. We thank the parents for their support in making the event a grand success!!!

Field Trip to Pure O Naturals - Nursery Level

Taking my basket, I will go to the market,to buy some tasty fruits Apples,Oranges,Bananas and i can buy some chickoo too.
As a part of their Ongoing Theme, children of Nursery level were taken to supermarket Pure-O-Natural.The children were eager to touch, feel various vegetables and fruits and confidently named them all. They had a super exciting field trip.

Field Trip to Car Garage - K2 Level

When students go on field trips, they gain more knowledge and are brought out into the community to interact with experts in their fields. Visiting a car garage, seeing a 'car wash and speaking to a car mechanic are inspiring experiences that cannot be experienced in the confines of the classroom. K2 children at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills had an experiential learning during their field trip to Ignite Motors.

Republic Day Celebrations 2020

10th Annual Sports Day - Pre Nursery & Nursery Level

Sports and Games are very useful for physical development of child. So, it is very important to involve sports and games in academics for the children in their preschool age'
Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills celebrated their '10th Annual Sports Day' for the children of Pre Nursery and Nursery levels at our school on 6th December 2019. The ground was decorated with colourful flags, cones and posters. Children took part in entertaining, theme related track events and energizing drill displays.

Session on Good Touch & Bad Touch 2019

A workshop on 'Good Touch & Bad Touch' was conducted at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills by Ms. Vandana and Ms. Abeer to create awareness among the children of Nursery, K1 & K2 levels.Children were taught about their 'Safe Circle' and that if something happens that makes them feel uncomfortable, they must tell to someone they trust. The session was an open discussion on protecting themselves against child abuse and it helped them realize that they have the right to say 'NO'. Children also made a take-away on 'Safe Circle'

Field Trip to Fire Station by K1 & K2 Level

School field trip is an effective educational activity for students that helps facilitate fast and efficient learning method. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to take a break from the classroom learning and to have some fun and excitement in an entirely new environment. K1 & K2 Children at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills had such wonderful experience when they went on a field trip to Fire station. The Firemen in uniform showed ways to tackle fire outbreak. 'Call 101 for fire emergency. Stay safe and don't play with fire' was the take-away message from the field trip.

Field Trip to Shilparamam - K1 & K2 Level

Community helpers help us in our everyday life by providing invaluable services. As part of the curriculum, the K1 & K2 children of Birla Open Minds Preschool, Jubilee Hills learnt about 'Potter' and how he uses his tools to make beautiful pots and other objects using clay. Experiential learning is the best way for preschoolers to understand a concept. Hence, the children were taken on a field trip to Shilparamam to meet the Potter and they had a wonderful experience!

Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Children at Birla Open Minds Preschool, Jubilee Hills celebrated the Pre-Independence Day and Raksha bandhan on 14th August 2019.

The only way to imbibe a feeling of patriotism within them is through imparting knowledge about it in a way that they are receptive to it. Children of K1 & K2 sang patriotic songs. Children also made collages of Indian flag as part of art activity and relished tricoloured sandwich during snack time. The day was also celebrated as Raksha Bandhan. Graduation Day Celebration - K2 Level

Graduation is an exciting time. It's both an ending and a beginning; It is filled with warm memories of the past and big dreams for the future. Our K2 children at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills, celebrated their Graduation Day. the culmination of years of hard work of the children, the outstanding work of the staff and the parents of the students. It was a fun-filled and memorable day for all of us.

Glimpse of 9th Annual Day Celebrations of PN and Nursery Level

The theme for Annual Day was 'Aqua Mystery'. The theme was beautifully depicted by the backdrop of the stage and the script. Our talented little tots were the stars of the event, dressed in bright colourful costumes; they confidently danced and participated in the skit. The audience comprising of parents, grandparents and extended family were mesmerized and awestruck to see our little ones perform on some foot tapping songs.

9th Annual Day Celebrations for K1 & K2 Levels

Children of K1 & K2 at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee hills put up a wonderful and enthralling show during their 9th Annual Day Celebrations on Friday, 8th February 2019. Our Annual day theme, 'Aqua Mystery' was depicting the life under the sea. They put up a beautiful show which was filled with music, dance and drama.In a colourful display of befitting costumes and props, the children danced to some foot tapping numbers.

Field Trip to Cream Stone - K2 Level

Field trips are wonderful opportunities for students to take a break from the classroom learning and to have some fun and excitement in an entirely new environment. It's an efficient way to reinforce the classroom teachings as children get a hands-on experience. K2 children at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills, went on a field trip to Cream Stone ice-cream parlour. They learnt about the various ingredients and dairy products that are used to prepare an ice-cream. They were super excited to make their own ice-creams and taste them.

K1 children at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills had a great learning experience at Big Bazaar, Inorbit Mall today as they explored fruits,
vegetables, grains, pulses, bakery items as part of their ongoing theme. They were amazed to see the live chakki counter and eagerly observed how wheat flour was made from wheat grains.This is a wonderful opportunity for students to take a break from the classroom learning and to have some fun and excitement in an entirely new environment.

Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival is celebrated in almost all parts of India with great pomp.

Children were dressed in colourful traditional clothes. They were excited to witness bommala koluvu, kite flying and making of sweet pongal.

Bonfire Night

BONFIRE NIGHT' Fun at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills. Children came to school in the evening in their pajamas with their soft toys and soft blankets, ready for a treat of a different nature! The evening was filled with foot tapping music & dance, games, stories and yummy supper for all, arranged very lovingly by the team of the school along with a bonfire to keep them all warm on a cool December night.

Christmas Celebration

We celebrated Christmas in all its joy and happiness today....

Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrated it with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among our children.

Children danced to joyful tunes with Santa. Children relished eating Christmas cakes and were ecstatic to receive gifts from Santa.

Sports Day K1 and K2 Level

Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills celebrated their '9th Annual Sports Day' for the children of Kindergarten 1 & Kindergarten 2 at our mainstream school, Open Minds International, Kollur on 30th November 2018. This year's theme was 'Relive the Morals of Short Tales'. The ground was decorated with colourful flags, cones and posters. Children took part in entertaining, theme related track events and energizing drill displays: Rainbow drill and Bamboo drill. All the children participated with great energy & excitement and received their certificates with pride from the Centre Head. Parents had a great time watching their children perform and cheered for them with great enthusiasm.

Children's Day Celebration

"The children of today will make the India of tomorrow." We at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills celebrated the children's day in honour of our first Prime Minister, Chacha Nehru. He always believed and said that "Children should always be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow"

Children's Day was full of fun and excitement as our teachers performed Magic Show, Puppet Show and Dolls Dance . They enjoyed dance moves along with their teachers to foot tapping music.

Diwali Celebration

Diwali is known as the festival of lights which is the symbol of 'Welcoming Goddess Lakshmi to our homes' and 'Victory of good over evil'.

School was decorated with torans, diyas and lantern crafts and Diwali Mela was organized with lots of fun games for children. Children of K2 enacted the skit 'Ramayana' with full enthusiasm and energy, which was watched by K1 & K2 children. Nursery and Pre-nursery children celebrated Diwali with rejoice.The children also enjoyed the Mela filled with exciting games. A video on 'Eco-friendly Diwali' was also shown to children with a message to protect our Earth and celebrate a happy & safe Diwali !

Field Trip to Fire Station K1 & K2 Level

Fire..Fire...Fire...Crawl low under smoke... Stop, drop, and roll were the words our K2 children of Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills learned during their field trip to the Fire Station today. Making the children understand the dangers of fire and how to respond, safety rules to be followed in case of fire are all important as part of the preschool education.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations at Birla Open minds Preschool Jubilee Hills: Children came dressed in traditional attire and made beautiful Eco-friendly Ganeshas. They also relished laddoos during snack time, watched the story of Lord Ganesha in ICT and performed Aarti to the music of dholak, manjeera, maracas, tambourines and wooden clappers.

My Friend and Ganesha Event

Parents and children of Birla Open Minds Preschool, Jubilee Hills very eagerly and enthusiastically participated in 'My Friend and Ganesha' event and made eco-friendly Ganesha idols from clay.

Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at school-
Children dressed up as little Krishna and Radha, enjoyed learning about the birth of Makhan Chor ! Children of K2 Level performed the traditional 'Dahi Handi', K1 and K2 level watched a skit enacted by the teachers on the birth of Lord Krishna.
They relished the snack Jelebi and watched in awe an video on The Birth of Lord Krishna.

Culmination of Cultural Diversity of K1 & K2 Level

'Travel the world. Understand different cultures. Be inspired by beauty everywhere. Make friends all over. Be the citizen of the world.' The children of K2 gained valuable knowledge about the cultures of countries around the world. As part of Culmination, children dressed up and spoke with confidence about different countries, during 'Share & Tell' activity today at school. We thank the parents for taking a keen interest in helping your child prepare the project and share information with their class.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Raksha Bandhan is a festival which celebrates the love and affection between brothers and sisters.

Children enjoyed making rakhis and tying it to their friends. The school looked festive and children had lots of fun!

Field Trip to Shilparamam - K2 Level

School field trip is an effective educational activity for students that helps facilitate fast and efficient learning method. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to take a break from the classroom learning and to have some fun and excitement in an entirely new environment. GTJ. Culmination Day Enormous Earth Theme - K2 Level

As part of Culmination, the children of K2 level, enacted a skit on 'Our Mother Earth'. They spoke with confidence about Earth's natural resources and ways to utilise them to make our planet a better place to live. We thank all the parents for their support!!!

Cultural Week Celebrations for Pre-Nursery & Nursery

As a part of Culmination of Cultural Week, children of Pre-Nursery and Nursery explored various states of India, greeted each other in local language, danced to regional language songs, were dressed in their best traditional clothes and shared traditional food with their peers and teachers. Children were given a thorough understanding of our Country, Flag, cultural diversities in India.

Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day celebrations at Birla Open Minds Preschool Jubilee Hills; Children came dressed up in colours of the Indian flag. The school was decorated with flag toran and charts. Teachers shared about the significance of National symbols and heritage of our country to promote the spirit of Unity in Diversity. Children of K1 & K2 level sang patriotic songs. Tricolour sandwich was served during snack time.

Pre-Nursery Field Trip to Party Hunterz

The Pre-Nursery children of Globe Tot'ers had a wonderful time visiting Party Hunterz and got to see a lot of things related to birthday parties.

Van Mahotsav Celebration

'Lend a hand to save the trees' - This was the message the children of Globe Tot'ers Jubilee Hills shared through 'Sing-To- A -Tree', 'Show & Tell' activity using models, charts, eco-friendly costumes and hand-made banners. Teachers enacted a skit 'The Giving Tree' and children sang the songs, 'A Tiny Seed' and 'Channa Kaise Boya' to understand the importance of trees. The children also sowed the seeds and planted saplings in eco- friendly objects like coconut shells and reuse tyres.

Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain.
Children of Nursery level enjoyed the 'Rain Walk.' They were taken to the garden to observe what happens when it rains. They were excited to wear their raincoats, carried their umbrellas, danced in the rain and jumped in the muddy puddles…

Red Colour Day

Our children began exploring the colours of nature as a part of their first theme. Our nursery and pre-nursery children dressed in shades of Red, were shining bright. Children were given a thorough understanding of the colour red through various activities.

International Mud Day Celebration

Playing in the mud inspires children to feel a connection with nature and develop an appreciation for the environment. Memories are created while playing with mud during childhood. Children of Globe Tot'ers Jubilee Hills enjoyed Mud painting, making Mud snails, Mud smudge pigs, Mud laddoos, Mud bricks, Mud Toy Hunt on International Mud Day.

'International Yoga Day'

Yoga exercises have a holistic effect and bring body, mind, consciousness and soul into balance. When the body is physically healthy and the mind is focused, stress remains under control. We all need a few minutes to de-stress and reconnect with our inner peace after performing our duties and work every day to replenish our energies.

Parents, children, teachers and support staff of Globe Tot'ers Jubilee Hills actively participated in the yoga session at the school conducted by Sahajayoga Meditation Centre on International Yoga Day.
