Culmination brings a sense of closure to the ongoing theme. To make the children understand that fruits and vegetables are an essential component of a healthy diet for physical growth and sound health, a mock vegetable market was set up by our enthusiastic parents in the learning environment.
Our young learners played the role of fruit and vegetable vendor as a practical experience to compliment what was taught earlier. They had great fun and got to know about different kinds of fruits and vegetables. It was indeed a Joyful learning experience for our tiny tots.

Virtual talent showcase event "Medha – Spreading the talent with fun and delight"' is an occasion that spreads joy and is a platform to showcase the talent and intelligence of our little angels that is bestowed on them by Goddess Saraswathi.
Surely uncovering talent is the real moral imperative we should all respond to. If we know what makes us special, what makes us unique, what we can do that others cannot, it builds self-belief and confidence in ourselves as learners. We at Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally want every kid to find their innate and hidden talent, that unique ability that we can help them uncover, nurture and develop.
To create an awareness of India's cultural diversity and national ethos in our little ones, all important national festivals and special days are celebrated at Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally. Our tiny tots participate with much enthusiasm and gusto in all these festivals.
Republic Day is a national festival which is celebrated on 26th of January every year. This year too we celebrated the festival virtually. Our children and teachers of Birla Open Minds Kukatpally came dressed up in tricolor in the spirit of Patriotism. Our teachers explained the significance of the Republic day . Our little ones enthusiastically participated in the celebration. It was indeed an inspired and memorable day for all of us.
Colourful Makar Sankranti Celebrations 2021 at Birla Open Minds Kukatpally!!
Festivals bring joy, happiness & develop a great bonding between family members. Makar Sankranti or Lohiri or Pongal, the names may be different, but the spirit of festivity remains the same. The central cuisine of the festival is a dish made of til and jaggery. Kite flying is great fun during this festival.
Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Virtual Makar Sankrathi on 8th January 2021 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Significance of Sankrathi was narrated to our children. Our little ones looked adorable as they were dressed up in ethenic wear and took part in different activities like rangoli design, kite making and also making till(sesame) laddu. Kid's also enjoyed watching festival videos and danced to the tunes of Sankranthi songs. It was indeed a beautiful, colourful and fun filled day. We appreciate all the parents who took part in the celebration making it a memorable day for our children.

Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. It's time for a "Merry Little Christmas Celebration" in the virtual classrooms.
Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, tiny tots of Birla Open Minds Kukatpally celebrated the festival with great fervor and enthusiasm on December 23rd, 2020. All our angels were dressed up in Red and White attire with beautiful Santa Caps. Few of our little ones were dressed up like Santa Claus. Parents took the great initiative to decorate the environment with Xmas trees, bells, colorful streamers, stars, balloons, glitters, decorated Santa etc. Significance of Christmas was narrated to our children through the Nativity story. Children were overwhelmed at the sight of Santa. They sang carol songs and danced to the vibrant tunes. As a part of craft activities, our little ones thoroughly enjoyed making Christmas Tree, Santa Claus and Snowman. The whole atmosphere was filled with colors of joy and fun. Children played Treasure Hunt and were thrilled to receive a surprise Gift from their parents.
It was a fun filled day with surprises & activities. We appreciate our loving parents who participated in the celebration along with the child to make it more memorable and delightful for the tiny tots.
Our little ones celebrated Children's Day by taking part in various activities planned for them by their teachers. They were thrilled and excitement was all around the environment. Students were amazed to see their teachers reciting and dancing with them.
Diwali is the celebration of lights symbolizing the spiritual "victory of light over darkness." Children of Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally, celebrated the light within them through the expression of colors. Our little ones beautifully colored their own Diya, elegantly danced, and celebrated Diwali with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

Orange is the colour of happiness, joy , creativity and full of vitality combining the physical energy, enthusiasm and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Orange Colour Day with great zeal and zest. The learning environments were beautifully decorated with orange coloured objects and balloons. Our little ones were dressed up in the shades of vibrant Orange colour, shining bright and enjoyed the activities planned for them as per the theme and learnt interesting facts about it. Little learners participated in interesting activities like "Show and Tell", fun games and art activity related to the Orange colour. Children were surprised at the colour mixing activity in which the secondary colour orange is created by mixing two primary colors red and yellow. It was indeed a vibrant day and a memorable one for our young minds.
Green - The Color of Life…!!"
Green color is a color of life that represents nature with trees, plants and fresh oxygen. To celebrate Green Day, children of Birla Open Minds Kukatpally (K1, K2 and Nursery) were all dressed in different shades of green. Our tiny tots were bubbling with enthusiasm in the astonishing green dramatic corner which created a pleasant, harmonious and refreshing environment. Students celebrated the Green Day virtually by taking part in various activities like making green salad with greens, making frog puppet and fish scaling with crumpled papers. Children enjoyed making green salad using green veggies. It was a great cooking experience for children to prepare green salad using the crisp cucumber, fresh mint, aroma filled coriander, tangy lemon and spicy spring onions. Our children stepped forward with zeal and confidence to deliver show and tell activity.
We at BOMPS believe in giving hands on experience to our little learners in observing and understanding the concepts which help them to retain, remember and recall the learnt context. It was indeed an invigorating, reviving and rejuvenating experience….!!
It goes without saying that the active involvement in the Green Color Day Celebration infused vigor, vitality and freshness.
As a part of our Home and School Based Learning Programme, the theme Flickering Fire focused on introduction to Fire 🔥and its uses, Fireman and Fire Engine, Fire Brigade and Precaution and Safety from Fire. Children were involved in various activities like learning about fire safety and its precautions, candle experiment, fire fighters, enjoying the stories and rhymes of the current theme As part of a culmination, students were dressed up as Fire Fighters. Our tiny tots were so excited in the Fire Fighter attire by wearing Fire Fighter Helmet which they have prepared during their Art & Craft Activity, holding a hose pipe. It was an interactive session for the students with their teacher sharing the Fire station number 101, steps to be followed like " Stop, Drop, Roll" in case of fire emergency with actions.

Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally is hosting a live Happy Parenting Session on "Eye Care for Kids" by Dr. Aloka Hedau, DNB, FICO(UK) FPOS, Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Adult Squint Specialist on 9th January 2021 at 5:00 pm.
Festival celebrations in school help the children to understand the importance of bonding, sharing and celebrating happiness with togetherness. As a part of our efforts to inculcate the appreciation and respect for India's rich culture and heritage in students, Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Dussehra festival that marks the triumph of good over evil on 14th October 2020 virtually. Bathukamma, the festival of flowers was also celebrated on the very same day virtually. Children were dressed up in traditional attire and to encourage our little ones, our parents, teachers were also dressed up in traditional attire to celebrate the festival with more fun and enthusiasm. Children were explained the significance of both the festivals and about the ways in which the festival is celebrated. Children were excited while making colourful Dandiya sticks and vibrant Bathukamma with papers and flowers. Our little ones had a great time while dancing with their parents to the tunes of Dandiya and Bathukamma. They had loads of joy and merriment time together.

Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Grandparent's Day to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children's children, and to help children become aware of the strength, information, and guidance older people can offer.
Parents shared the link with the grandparents who are not staying with the family to join the celebration virtually and make it memorable for children. Grandparents Day celebration was an extraordinary day that started with a wonderful tribute to all of our grandparents on the virtual platform. Grandparents and grandchildren had worn the same color matching outfit and participated in the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm. Grandparents and grandchildren took part in various activities like playing games, singing, dancing, making beautiful cards and ramp walks. Grandparents narrated a few incidents about their grandchildren. It was indeed a memorable day to cherish. It was a pure joy for all three generations.

Colours are the smiles of nature. Yellow, the colour of sunshine is hope and happiness that stands for freshness, positivity, intellect and joy. On 16th of September 2020, students of Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Yellow Colour Day.
Yellow - the colour of wisdom and intellectual energy has a positive influence on our tender tots. The motive of celebrating this day was to make our little ones aware of the colour yellow, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills. Everyone's learning environment was all set up beautifully with yellow objects. Walls were decorated with yellow hangings, balloons, papers etc. Our children and teachers were dressed up brightly in different hues and tints of yellow. Focusing on the theme, students were asked to show off their yellow coloured toy collection for Show and Tell Activity. The children enjoyed various activities and enthusiastically took part in making Lion's mask. It was an absolute delight to watch our children having so much fun with Yellow Colour!!

Research says sharing household activities responsibility with kids has a major impact on their learning, emotional intelligence, and long term success. Helping out engages young children in activities that promote movement-cued development. These movement-based tasks are also closely linked to the brain development necessary for reading and writing. Our students are enjoying household activities. Childhood is a period when learning actually changes the brain's functional anatomy. The hands-on activity is particularly vital at this time.

Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrates Ganesh Chathurthi Virtually !!
This pandemic has stopped us from celebrating festivals and occasions in our usual ways. If we see from the other side it has also taught us to celebrate in a virtual way.
Our tiny tots and parents at Birla Open Minds Kukatpally celebrated Ganesh Chathurthi with great fervor and zeal in their virtual classrooms. Ganesh Chaturthi is an Indian festival celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Devotees believe that Lord Ganesha the symbol of wisdom bestows his presence on Earth during this festival and removes all their obstacles. The significance of Ganesh Chathurthi was exhibited virtually through a video. The class teacher also narrated the story of Bal Ganesha. 'Ganpati Bappa Morya…' echoed in the environment. Few students enchanted mantras and shlokas. Children made Eco-friendly Ganesha idol and decorated beautifully.
Virtual Independence Day Celebration at Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally
May You Soar High in the Realm of Freedom!
Independence Day promotes nationalism and patriotism towards the nation. It is one of the great days that everyone remembers the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to get independence. The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.
Birla Open Minds Preschool Kukatpally celebrated Independence Day with immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. Students came dressed up as Freedom fighters, National leaders in vibrant tricolor attire. Teachers were also dressed up in Tricolor Attire which made the day more colorful. Significance of Independence Day was narrated to the children which kept the memories of the fighters struggle for freedom alive in our minds. The complete K2 class was filled with Patriotism when they all sang " Saare Jaha se acha , Vande Mataram & We shall Overcome " with full of energy and enthusiasm.
Finally, the celebration was concluded with coloring National Flag across all levels, by saying slogans like " Jai Hind" , " Bharath Matha ki Jai", " Vande Mataram", "I Love My India" and dancing to the tunes of patriotic songs.
Happy 74th Independence Day!! Let's ignite the feeling of patriotism together and celebrate this "Independence Day" virtually with pride. We express our deep gratitude and salute all those warriors who are fighting against this pandemic to keep us safe.
Culture Education is an essential aspect of the Birla Open Minds curriculum. Understanding this importance and glorifying Indian traditions with the young generation, Birla Open Minds Kukatpally celebrates Janmashtami with full fervor and enthusiasm every year. Our Children won the soul of all by dressing in the attire of Krishna and Gopika. Little Krishna and Radha looked adorable and fabulous in their traditional costumes.
Janmashtami also was known as Gokulashtami is an annual Hindu festival. It is celebrated as the birthday of Krishna. Krishna is the eighth avatar of Vishnu. The story and childhood of Lord Krishna was narrated to the children. The sole objective of Sri Krishna's birth and to celebrate Janmashtami is to free the Earth from the evilness of demons. It conveyed the strong message "Victory of good over evil."
Finally, at the end, children danced to the tunes of 'kanhiya' songs with enjoyment and it was indeed a marvelous sight to watch.
Birla Open Minds believes in Thematic Learning which brings our children more close to nature and real experiences. Our children of K1 and K2 culminated the theme of Enormous Earth with immense zeal and excitement. The curated theme emphasized on topics like Earth, Living & Non-living things, land, water, sky, pollution, saving our planet, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Our little ones, on the culmination day shared their knowledge of making the earth a better place to live. They spoke with confidence about how to protect and save the natural resources of our planet Earth. Our children took part in different activities like fancy dress, making the paper bags and decorating it with leaf printing, fine motor activity leaf threading. They also took part in the sowing of the seeds and also had fun games to build their gross motor skills. This culmination event has definitely encouraged our children to share and celebrate their knowledge.
Our adorable children of Nursery were extremely overwhelmed on the culmination day of 'Shy Snails ', 'Shiny Shells' and 'Slippery Sand'. Our children were amazed to see their learning area, transformed into a beautiful #Beach Dramatic Play Area which was created by loving parents. Few of our little ones were in Beach dresses, goggles, umbrella, and had a blast at the Beach Party. Children were enlightened by knowing the wonderful facts of Snails, Shells and Sand. Our tiny tots showcased various activities done throughout the theme.
Virtual Blue Day Celebrations at Birla Open Minds Kukatpally
"Let the blue sky meet the blue sea and all is blue for a time"
It was a joyful virtual celebration. Our children were dressed in different ethnic attire and they all looked so adorable. Teachers and few parents were also dressed up in traditional attire. The ritual and the way in which this festival is celebrated in Telangana was well narrated online to kids during the session. Significance of earthen pot adorned with haldi and neem leaves in which the offering of rice cooked with jaggery and milk is made to goddess Mahakali was narrated to our little angels.
BOMPS - Kukatpally celebrated the festival of plants. We are thankful to all the parents for their enthusiasm and interest in the activity conducted on this occasion. "Best out of waste".. Parents made amazing objects, with their own creativity and demonstrated their Aesthetic skills. Few glimpses of this segment. Forest festival is conducted every year in the month of July. An awereness for more and, more trees to grow. Students and parents participated whole heartedly in the event. Parents brought a sapling to school and students placed them on the garden patch. A Sensorial pathway was made with different textured materials. Students and parents walked on it for an unique experience. Chipko Movement - Embracing trees. Taking care and loving them. Our little students and parents expressing their love towards trees.
nauguration and Parent Orientation program at BOMPS - Kukatpally was very successful with all the parents of new students present there and also the Director of Birla Open Minds LB Nagar enlightened the gathering with the insight of the operations and structure of Birla. Parents had many queries related to the curriculum and age-appropriate learning, which were answered by Ms. Sangeeta, Centre Head.
Parents keenly observed the Presentations and also moved their leg on the important segment of Multiple Intelligence - Musical Intelligence.
