Workshop for Teachers
If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we are destroying the future of our children.” John Dewey. Teacher’s workshop held by Ms. Susan and Ms. Natasha enhanced preschool teachers in developing and learning new teaching strategies, strategies of classroom management and technological advancement. In short, the Teacher Training Workshops provide overall continuous growth opportunities to the teachers to make the best use of their abilities. The four foundational approaches of early learning which include the Maria Montessori theory, Frobel’s Theory, Howard Gardner’s theory and Reggio Emilia’s Theory of Learning emphasised the need for teachers to keep themselves abreast of not just the traditional methods of teaching but also new and innovative ways to reach the students through different activities. As 21st century educators they must be prepared to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. By creating relevant learning experiences, using technology to support learning, and modelling 21st-century learning for their students. Teachers enjoyed participating and sharing their experiences. Teachers learnt to improve their educational skills, improve overall organization, improve time management, improve technical knowledge and learn better ways to motivate the students. If these skills are applied effectively it would help in overall development.
