FOUNDATIONAL STAGE

Pre-Primary Section

LY1, LY2, LY3, LY4, Class 1 & Class 2

Play Way Method

Encourages a blend of structured and free play, allowing children to learn naturally through exploration, imagination, and hands-on activities. Play is used as a tool for cognitive, social, and emotional development, ensuring learning is fun, engaging, and meaningful.

Multiple Intelligences Theory

Recognizes that children learn in diverse ways—some through music and rhythm, others through movement, logical reasoning, or interpersonal interactions. The curriculum integrates various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, ensuring that each child's strengths are nurtured and supported.

A Holistic Learning Experience

By blending these approaches, the BOM Curriculum nurtures confident, curious, and adaptable learners. This holistic foundation ensures that children not only gain knowledge but also develop essential life skills, preparing them for future academic and personal success.

NEP 2020 Alignment

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the significance of foundational literacy as the cornerstone of early childhood education. It highlights the importance of multilingualism and the integration of listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills into the preschool curriculum to build a strong linguistic foundation.

  • Focus on Foundational Literacy: The NEP aims to ensure the universal acquisition of foundational skills, including LSRW, by Grade 3.
  • Emphasis on Experiential Learning: It recommends play-based and activity-based approaches to develop language skills in an engaging and meaningful way.
  • Use of the Mother Tongue: The policy advocates teaching in the child's home language to enhance comprehension and concept retention.
